I design for complexity and make it feel obvious.
Lead Product Designer. Seven months from zero to paying customers on Modus, an AI workspace for German insurance brokers, as the only designer on the product.

Selected work
Modus
Zero to post-MVP with paying customers in seven months. Redirected the product concept before the wrong model got built.
Universal Inbox
A months-long feature demand decomposed into four root causes. A contested multi-week build became two validated one-week directions.
SureIn funnel
+118% contact-step conversion. “Other” business type from 50% to 10%.
How I work
Research first, no researcher needed.
I design and run the program myself: 81 transcribed interviews to date, a weekly shadowing cadence that still runs, and a synthesis of 158 problem statements that redirected the product concept before the wrong model got built into the architecture.
The conceptual model is the deliverable. Screens come after.
The model I proposed has held in production since November 2025, and its vocabulary is how the team talks about the work today.
Engineers join at problem framing, not at handover.
When a solution isn’t obvious, I put engineers and the user in one room. Last time I did, a contested multi-week build became two one-week directions in a single session.
I build the AI tooling I need, then use it.
There was no research team, so I built the infrastructure instead. Every interview and customer conversation is transcribed into a central corpus that the whole team now uses. On top of it I built a retrieval layer that extracts insights with confidence scores and attributes, connected through MCP to our AI chat, which is how I query months of research in seconds. Same instinct on the design side: AI-assisted prototyping carried the Modus concept through four validated iterations in two and a half weeks.
What I look for
Complex B2B products where operators, not consumers, are the users. Messy workflows, regulated environments, domains that take months to learn. I know insurance and fintech deeply enough to be useful in week one, and the same pattern shows up in logistics, marketplaces, and internal operational tools. That’s where design has leverage.
